  • Privacy Policy. Is my info safe?       back to top
    • We don’t sell your personal information to anyone.
    • Please note that we take the Privacy of our Pals EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY. We will not tolerate those that would impinge on the anonymity of ours Pals or seek to fraudulently extract their personal information. We work with an extremely aggressive law firm that is entrusted with protecting the rights of PokerPal.org. We will not falter; we will take action when required.
    • You can find our Privacy Policy here. Please check it out.
  • I did not receive an email with my password.       back to top
    • Due to email abuse by spammers, PokerPal.org emails may be filtered as spam.
    • To retrieve "Welcome" emails with passwords, click here.
    • To retrieve "Forgot Password" emails with passwords, click here.
    • You will be asked to provide your information to confirm your identity. The original email will be posted on the screen for you to print.
  • Who can post a free game?       back to top
    • Only an individual can post a free game. In other words you can post your game for free if you don’t work for or represent any kind of Casino, Card Room, or Commercial Entity (including a Poker Club, Card Club, or Charity Organization).
    • If you do represent a Casino, Card Room, or Commercial Entity (as defined above) then you should contact us at affiliates@pokerpal.org so that we can assist you in getting your event posted.
    • Note: Our Pals are empowered with the ability to flag and remove the posting of Commercial Entities and they take this responsibility seriously because they know that this is what keeps the site free to them.
  • How do I post a free Game?       back to top
    • At the bottom of every page is a link that reads “List Game”. Just click on the link and you’ll be able to publish the details of your game.
    • Helpful Hint: If you really want to post a successful listing then you should provide as much detail as possible in the field entitled “Game Comments” (if posting a game) and “Listing Comments” under your profile at the “Manage Account” page. Providing detail will help the readers of your posting to determine if you are both a good fit. If you don’t give any detail chances are you will receive very few invitations.
  • Do I need to respond to Pal email inquiries?       back to top
    • Yes, you really should reply to all Pal emails. Your reply can be very short if you want but you really should make an effort to respond. If you do not respond then your posting could be “flagged” for removal by the Pal community.
    • Opt-Out: If you want to take a break from answering game invitations from other Pal’s all you need to do is go to the link at the bottom of almost every page on the site entitled “Manage Account” And select “No” where it says: Would you like to be invited to games by other PokerPals? Yes    No
    • Just remember to change this back to “Yes” when you are ready to be invited to poker games by your local Pals.
  • I’m not getting any response. What am I doing wrong?       back to top

    • First make absolutely sure that your spam-filter is not stopping the incoming emails (especially you AOL members).
    • Next, make sure you are “Opted-In”. Go to the link at the bottom of almost every page on the site entitled “Manage Account”. Once there select “Yes” where it says: Would you like to be invited to games by other PokerPals? Yes    No

    • Put some good detail in your Pal profile about yourself in the field entitled “Listing Comments”. You can write about why you love poker, the kind of games your looking to join, the fact that you’re new to the area, etc… This is really the only place that will distinguish you from all the other Pals in the area, so if you want to receive invitations you need to let hosts of poker games match their game to your stated needs.
  • When/Why should I Flag a posting?       back to top
    • First, we must ask that you exercise the power to Flag an account or a posted game with care. We look to all of our Pals to monitor the integrity of postings and other members so that we can create a clean, relevant, and current forum for all of our poker pals.
    • You should Flag the postings or a members account that is:

      • A Commercial Entity: These are Casinos, Card Rooms, Card Clubs, Charity Organizations, or any other group that you believe makes a profit from hosting their poker game or tournament on our site. Flagging these entities will keep the site FREE to you and all our Pals.
      • False Pretenses: These are the postings of Spammers, Phishers, Data Trollers, and any other entities or individuals that are using our forum to mislead Pals into giving them their personal data or contact information.
      • Non-responsive Pals: If you send three (3) or more emails to a member and they do not respond please flag the account. Chances are that the account is no longer valid. Flagging it will enable us to “scrub” the system thus leaving you with current and clean postings to games and players that are actively looking to hook up.
    • Note: In order for a posting to be removed it must be flagged by several different Pals, so if you flag a listing but you still notice that it appears to be posted just have patience.

  • How can I edit my Profile?       back to top
    • At the bottom of every page is a link that reads “Manage Account”. Just click on the link and you’ll be able to edit your profile details.

    • Helpful Hint: If you want other Pals to invite you to their games then you should provide as much detail as possible in the field entitled “Listing Comments”. Providing detail will help readers of your posting to determine if you are both a good fit. Pals who provide little or no detail receive far fewer invitations.

  • How long does my game post stay on the site?       back to top
    • Your posting will stay active for 90 days but note that at any time you can extend it by simply editing it, doing so will automatically extend it for another 90 days.

    • Note: In order to keep all posting current we will send you a friendly reminder 80 days after you published your posting to remind you that you need to update it. Then, if you haven’t updated it you will receive a final notice 10 days later that will let you know that we will remove the listing in 24 hours.

  • How can I delete or remove my game posting?       back to top
    • At the bottom of almost every page of the site you will see a link that says “View My Games”. Click on this link and it will take you to a page that has all of your posted games. On the left hand side of the table displaying your games are the links that enable you to either “Edit” or “Delete” each of your current postings.

  • How many games can I have posted at any one time?       back to top
    • The number of games that you can post over time is unlimited. However:

    • You can only have up to three (3) games posted at any one time on the site. The system will automatically limit the total number of postings that any Pal can have posted at any one time to four (4).

    • We ask that you take the time to manage your posting about once per week and remove those that are outdated.

  • How many emails can I send?       back to top
    • Our company and all of our Pals take Spamming very seriously.

    • You can send out a total of 20 emails per day and no more than 80 per week. We have internal systems that track the number of emails sent out by all Pals so that we can eradicate the efforts of Spammers, Phishers, and Data Trollers that would attempt to deceive our Pals.

    • Note, that all Pals are empowered to Flag for removal the accounts of those they perceive to be Spammers, Phishers, and Data Trollers.

  • Can I add a picture to my posting?       back to top
    • Not yet but this feature is coming very soon.

  • Can I add HTML tags or URLs in my posting?       back to top
    • No you can not add HTML or URL’s within your game postings or under your “Listing Comments”. Why?, because our history indicates that those that do post using HTML or URL’s are usually, Spammers, Phishers, Data Trollers, or Commercial Entities, and in most cases our Pals will Flag your account for removal.

  • Terms of Service       back to top
    • Please note that we take our “Terms of Service” EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY. We will not tolerate violations. We work with an extremely aggressive law firm that is entrusted with protecting the rights of PokerPal.org. We will not falter; we will take action when required.

    • You can find our Terms or Service here. Please, check it out.

  • Do you know of any sites like yours on the net?       back to top
    • NO, there are No other sites like PokerPal. We protect our Pals.

    • There are a couple of other sites that try to do what we do, but they don’t come close. 1) We zoom down to your local neighborhood. 2) We empower all of our members (Pals) to Flag any/all listings in order to detect fraud and deception. 3) We’ve put a “Rating System” in place so that you can inform/alert other Pals about your experience with a poster, 4) and we have put in place a “Rounders Report” that alerts poker players to the cheats that look to take advantage of our members.

  • I Represent a Casino or other Commercial Entity, how can I work with you?       back to top
    • That’s painless. Contact us at affiliates@pokerpal.org and we’ll put together a plan that brings you huge returns. Don’t be shy; we really want to work with you.

  • Can I post an event on PokerPal if I am a Non-Profit or Charity?       back to top
    • Yes, sure. PokerPal wants to contribute to non-profit organizations. We just need to make sure they are legitimate non-profit organizations and then we will work together to get your event posted on our site.
